RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages a group of project managers and function as a working Senior Project Manager.
- You will be responsible for managing projects starting at point of hand-over from marketing through completion and close-out with customer.
- You will manage customer relationships through the project life cycle as well as the job schedule and budget.
- Provide project status when required.
- Works to develop employees through mentoring, monitoring performance, providing feedback and defining necessary training programs to improve skills.
- Covers the following key elements:
- Contract management, including contract changes; liaison with senior management on as-needed basis throughout contract and project lifecycle.
- Customer relationship, including status reporting, change order management and point of contract.
- Cost and schedule visibility covering total project across the involved facilities.
- Provide timely invoicing via milestones or percentage of completion and resolve payment issues.
- Anticipate and resolve problems with internal and external customers; expedite as necessary.
- Internal reporting on key job status indicators.
- Develops project management procedures and tools which drive successful projects completion and high customer satisfaction.
- Other task necessary or appropriate to the function.
- You will need a BSME or BA with 10 or more years of related experience.
- You need to have considerable knowledge and experience with high-speed turbo-machinery and the ideal candidate will have a background in fabrication, manufacture or repair of industrial turbines.
- Other factory or job shop experience will be considered.
- Experience managing project schedule and cost is required.
- You must be familiar with contractual language and managing contracts.
- PMI certification is desired.
