Stop Wasting Oil
Dry gas seal technology has improved such that this has become the nowadays standard. Many compressors still run with oil-type seals at the shaft ends, like bushing seals or mechanical seals.
Although these seals can still function properly, there may be significant advantages to convert to dry gas seals. Besides the very low gas leakages and losses, a dry gas seal system is much simpler than a conventional oil seal system.
