For owners of GE-design Frame 6 gas turbines, TurboCare offer a unique service involving a compressor rotor exchange plan which allows an owner to perform a rotor change-out during the duration of a standard Major Overhaul and avoid any further unnecessary delays.

At our Glasgow and Dubai facilities, TurboCare stock a F6 compressor rotor fully bladed and balanced and available for immediate use around the globe. The rotor will require the fitting of three sets of buckets, the type being dependant upon the customer's specification - we can offer both new buckets or warranted refurbished buckets at immediate notice, complete the turbine balancing and be ready for air or sea freight within 48 hours.

TurboCare will accept back the customer's removed rotor and refurbish this to the same high specification making it available for another user. All rotors are supplied with complete running hours and operational history, plus that of any accompanying refurbished components. This exchange service is available at a fixed price, subject only to the type of buckets installed, the subsequent repair work-scope to the returned rotor, and freight/duty charges.

The rotor exchange service is also available to customers as a form of "insurance" policy where the condition of the operating rotor is unknown but the customer would like the convenience of having a replacement rotor available during an overhaul, although not having committed to utilize it.
