JOB LOCATION: Houston, TX |
Reports to the Engineering Manager and provides technical support for the Houston Repair Operations. Performs necessary engineering calculations and studies to confirm soundness of recommended repairs to steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors and pumps.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for providing engineering oversight to guide the repair of turbomachinery.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technically guide the implementation of turbomachinery repair techniques for use in shop-based or field-based repairs.
- Interact in a productive team-minded approach with other engineers, repair specialists and shop personnel to ensure high quality repairs and satisfied customers.
- Meet with customers as required to support repair methodology decisions.
- Supports Sales and Marketing in the technical preparation of Requests For Quotation (RFQ's). This may require visits to customer's sites to review equipment and participate in technical discussions.
- Work closely with engineering departments in other TurboCare facilities on major projects or as needed on specific jobs.
BS in Engineering with 5 years of turbomachinery experience including hands-on engineering analysis and demonstrated problem solving ability. Highly desirable to be familiar with terminology and design aspects of multiple OEM products.
