Develop, grow and service new and existing TurboCare customers. Work involves a variety of marketing duties with frequent exercise of independent judgment and action. Position requires traveling both domestically and internationally minimum 25% of time. Demonstrate effective skill in oral and written presentation. Usually assigned responsibility for specific product lines, territories or customers; however, a working knowledge of all TurboCare products, services and capabilities is essential.
JOB OVERVIEW
Marketing
- Assist with the development of specific strategies and implement tactical actions to drive increasing product line volume and profitability
- Conduct market research to identify the product and/or regional markets, then develop and recommend positioning, packaging, promotion and pricing strategy
- Maintain high awareness of competitive information and have the ability to suggest/develop marketing strategies in order to counteract competition
- Assist in the development and production of multi media promotional and collateral materials for products and services
- Conduct marketing surveys on current and new product concepts, and provide feedback for future product development
- Keep current on local marketing and pricing policies/procedures
- Develop customer contacts, identify potential outages, drive opportunities with field sales and provide status in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
- Develop training materials, provide technical sales training and customer presentations
- Performs inside sales support duties including developing proposals and accepting orders from customers
- Receive incoming requests for quotations
- Verify completeness of information required to quote
- Review and understand RFQ, develop custom proposals under the direction of Regional Manager and or Product Marketing Manager
- Utilize historical records and interface with the organization to develop scope of supply, cost estimates and technical information for opportunities
- Work closely with field sales to maximize opportunities with focus on customer specific sales strategies and determining market level pricing
- Review all assembled proposal document packages for completeness
- Address all commercial issues and obtain quote approval, as required
- Provide regular proposal status updates
- Engage and utilize existing marketing administrative resources to ensure responsiveness to customer's needs
- Be available to escort/host visiting customers, as needed
- Identify and reconcile discrepancies in the customer's order compared to the proposals terms and conditions. Review transactions for completeness, accuracy and authorization. Compile, verify data and perform any required calculations.
- Coordinate acceptance of orders with the responsible field sales and operations involved; maintain good customer and interpersonal relationships
- Communicate customer requirements to engineering and manufacturing
- Compile and input details of customer orders for review of sales management, engineering, production and accounting, confirm delivery commitments
- Coordinate project hand-off meeting per multi-facility order entry, as required
- Follow-up on orders in progress, take action (i.e. expedite) as appropriate
- Provide regular updates to Regional Manager/Product Marketing Managers
- Work with operations managers to identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, quality, and responsiveness on products
- Support customers and reps with technical/commercial questions, as required
- Handle inquiries regarding the processing of customer transactions; investigate and coordinate activities with related functions to resolve discrepancies
- Compose and respond to internal and external correspondence
- Maintain records and files; sort and categorize material; file and retrieve data
- Perform other duties, as required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE- ASME with 4 to 6 years experience in turbomachinery or related field, or
- BSME with 2 years of experience with turbomachinery or related field, or
- Equivalency - minimum 6 - 10 years of experience with turbomachinery or related field
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office products
Must be knowledgeable in coordinating and/or leading marketing project activities
