Support manufacturing operations with a process orientated approach defining consistent standards in all areas of manufacturing engineering and product costing. Establish productions methods and calculate cost estimates for proposal development.
JOB OVERVIEW:
- Establish cost estimates used for proposal development, planning, organizing, scheduling work and preparing quotes.
- Produce manufacturing routers/methods that represent the specific process that each part must follow to meet drawing and customer requirements.
- Assist in developing standard work instructions for specific production orders.
- Execute time studies to define production.
- Conduct statistical analysis of production standards and develop a forward looking estimating algorithm.
- Review drawings released to manufacturing floor for consistency and accuracy.
- Work with Programmers and Engineers to develop the most efficient manufacturing process which maximizes machine output while maintaining set process standards, policies and procedures.
- Provide continuous improvement support as it relates to updating and revising procedures in the frame work if ISO 9001 standards.
- Work in a team environment with design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Participate in production meetings with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Other tasks and duties as seen fit by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- B.S. or equivalent in Engineering related field of study.
- Proficient in engineering graphics software usage such as AUTOCAD, CADKEY and PROE is required.
- Experienced in Blue Print reading and interpretation.
- Experienced user of MRP system.
- Good language skills, mathematical skills and reasoning ability a must.
