TurboCare, a global leader in providing aftermarket Turbomachinery has an job opening consisting of setup and operating a variety of saws and machine tools to cut and re-machine bar stock for machining centers according to manufacturing and engineering specifications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup and operate band saws to cut steel as requested on Raw Material Requisitions; spray paint ends of billets with proper color in accordance with procedures.
- Spray paint and renumber ends of all unused bar stock to be returned to stores; scrap pieces that fall below scrap allowance.
- Maintain inventory records for steel; charge to appropriate order.
- Monitor coolant concentration and level in band saws; add or adjust as necessary.
- Reference material such as item drawings and calculate angle dimensions using standard formulas.
- Setup and operate straddle mills and surface grinders to machine steel stock according to manufacturing instructions; check angles and dimensions and make adjustments to tooling and equipment to ensure accurate setups.
- Operate equipment to rework, rough, and finish machine bar stock and specified parts of turbine blades.
- Mill blades to fit ring within tolerance and position on adapter for verification as required.
- Deburr parts as required.
- High school education or its equivalent.
- Successfully complete Blueprint Reading training course.
- Successfully complete area specific Math.
- Successfully complete Measuring Instruments training course.
- Successfully complete the Industrial Reading Test with a score of 70% or better.
- Demonstrate the ability to setup and operate manual milling machine, band saw, and surface grinders
