The primary purpose of this TurboCare position is to setup/operate multiple equipment for operations with little or no supervision and/or technical support. Machine to finished dimensions within tolerances a wide variety of parts, with little or no supervision.

JOB OVERVIEW:
  • Rough and finish machine a variety of complicated works including new and the most intricate and difficult jobs.
  • Setup and operate machines in the multi-axis machine area making all required machine settings, install appropriate fixtures, and install programs when needed or set control system per manufacturing specifications.
  • Setup and operate any and all machine tools as required by job assignments.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment that includes:  operator required machine PM, troubleshoot machine malfunctions, adjustments to machine, alignments to axis, and monitoring oils, coolants, etc.
  • Examine machine tools, equipment and component systems to determine cause of malfunction; perform remedial action, installation and/or replacement of parts as required to maintain system operation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
This position requires the equivalent of a high school education plus up to one year of specialized training. This job requires the use of shop mathematics together with the use of drawings and a variety of precision measuring instruments. Employees must successfully complete CNC, Shop Mathematics, Blueprint Reading, and Measuring Instruments Training Programs, or demonstrate competency. 

JOB PREREQUISITES:
 
  • Must have successfully completed Shop Math Test with a score of 70% or better.
  • Must have successfully completed Blueprint Reading Test with a score of 70% or better.
  • Must have successfully completed Measuring Instrument Test with a score of 70% or better.
  • Must have successfully completed the Industrial Reading Comprehensive Test with a score of 70% or better.
  • Demonstrate the ability to set up and operate CNC machines
  • Demonstrate the ability to make CNC machine control program edits/adjustments.
