Manage one or more geothermal projects and provide business development support for the geothermal market.
JOB OVERVIEW:
- Responsible for managing project(s) starting from initial development through completion and close-out with customers.
- Manage customer relationships through the project life cycle as well as the job schedule
- Manage internal and external budgets and report when required.
- Develop specific project schedules with appropriate dependencies.
- Provide project status when required.
- Covers the following key elements:
- Contract management, including contract changes; liaison with Product Director on as-needed basis throughout contract and project lifecycle.
- Customer relationship, including status reporting, change order management and point of contract.
- Cost and schedule visibility covering total project across the involved facilities.
- Provide timely invoicing via milestones or percentage of completion and resolve payment issues.
- Anticipate and resolve problems with internal and external customers; expedite as necessary.
- Internal reporting on key job status indicators.
- Helps develops project management procedures and tools which drive successful projects completion and high customer satisfaction.
- Other task necessary or appropriate to the function.
- Actively promote TurboCare in the geothermal market, identifying new opportunities with existing or new developers, and assisting with Geothermal Proposals and project development.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BSME or equivalent; 20 or more years in the steam turbine business
- Considerable knowledge and experience with high-speed turbo-machinery. The ideal candidate will have a background in fabrication, manufacture or repair of industrial turbines with emphasis on geothermal turbines, including successful project management experience.
- Experience managing project schedules and cost; familiar with contractual language and managing contracts; working knowledge of project scheduling tools.
- Excellent communication skills and experience using Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Projects and Excel.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- PMI certification
- Formal financial systems training
- Prior successful experience in Sales and Marketing
- Broad knowledge of service shop repairs and on site services
- Broad knowledge of TurboCare products and services
