Support the development, growth and service of new and existing TurboCare customers.  Work involves a variety of duties under supervision of Shop Manager.  Demonstrate effective skill in oral and written communications with staff and customers.  Customer Service Representative will be assigned inside sales support of customers in Western Canada working closely with sales teams from both TurboCare and Siemens as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:           

  • Development of work plans, cost estimates, quotations and reports for customers to meet promised delivery dates;
  • Maintain job cost ratios as per division targets;
  • Manage job material procurement in timely, cost effective manner to ensure job profitability;
  • Manage and take responsibility to ensure that TurboCare and Siemens intellectual property is protected at all times;
  • Ensure that TurboCare's order acceptance process is adhered to;
  • Take responsibility of incoming quotation requests to completion;
  • Verify completeness of information required to quote;
  • Review and understand RFQ, develop custom proposals under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager and Shop Operations Manager when required; 
  • Utilize historical records and interface with the organization to develop scope of supply and cost estimates for opportunities;
  • Review all assembled proposal document packages for completeness prior to sending to customer;
  • Provide regular proposal status updates to shop and sales as requested;
  • Be available to escort/host visiting customers, when required;
  • Identify and reconcile discrepancies in the customer's order compared to the work scopes terms and conditions;
  • Review transactions for completeness, accuracy and authorization;
  • Coordinate acceptance of orders with the responsible sales and operations involved;
  • Maintain good customer and interpersonal relationships with both internal and external customers;
  • Communicate customer requirements to shop operations and sales teams as necessary;
  • Compile and input details of customer orders for review of management, engineering, production and accounting;
  • Confirm delivery commitments with customer and internally as needed;
  • Ensure all changes to scope of work are documented and communicated as required;
  • Follow-up on orders in progress, take action (i.e. expedite) as appropriate;
  • Handle inquiries regarding the processing of customer transactions; investigate and coordinate activities with related functions to resolve discrepancies;
  • Maintain records and files; sort and categorize material; file and retrieve data;
  • Evaluate all job tasks with the goal of meeting the company's environmental, safety and quality objectives;
  • Keep assets in good working order and provide guidance for maintenance work as required;
  • Participation in monthly toolbox meetings with shop staff, customer meetings and weekly team meetings as requested;
  • Maintain industry knowledge and knowledge of repair initiatives to constantly improve productivity, delivery, quality or environmental impact as per company's objectives;
  • Utilize TurboCare Canada's computer systems to keep track and update all relevant job and customer contact.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Journeyman Electric Motor System Technician or Journeyman Machinist or Electrical Engineering Degree
  • Rotating equipment experience and knowledge required
  • Supervisory experience of skilled trades an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, Lotus Notes, reading and creating technical drawings in AutoCad / AutoSketch and experience with WindChill would be an asset.
