Great opportunities for experienced CNC machinists to set up and run machining centers and lathes on second, third and fourth shifts. Seasonal opportunities also available for qualified candidates looking to work in the spring and fall.
JOB OVERVIEW:
Candidates shall be able to set up and machine to finished dimensions within tolerance with a wide variety of parts, with minimal supervision. Set up and operate mills and/or lathes and any other machines necessary to perform the job: tool holders, jigs, fixtures, cutting heads and other necessary equipment. Rough and finish machine a wide variety of complicated work, requiring separate machining to many co-related dimensions in diameters, faces, slots, and grooves with high demand for concentricity, parallelism, squareness, roundness, and surface finish. Consistently produce work of superior quality at above average productivity levels in a team environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires the use of advanced shop mathematics, together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas and all varieties of precision measuring instruments. Thorough knowledge of machine shop practices and principles of mechanics and working qualities of metals. More than five years experience.
