TurboCare has capability and experience in repairing DC machines up to 10,000
HP at our Calgary facility.
Armature repair and rewind services include:

process-controlled VPI system using polyester class H solventless resin;

TIG welding of risers;

testing (including bar to bar), surge comparison, insulation resistance, and
low resistance tests;

application of Teflon bands;

commutator turning, undercutting, replacement, torquing, and seasoning;

experience with many types of DC machines including those manufactured by GE,
